The David Leonardis Gallery is proud to exhibit the work of New York City photographer Dana Frank. The show opens with an artist's reception in which Dana Frank will be in attendance Friday the 15th of November from 6pm to Midnight.

The exhibit continues through December 10th, 2002.


Captured Idols-The VH-1 Exhibit - Dana Franks' one - woman show at The David Leonardis Gallery - Chicago showcases over thirty new photographs.

Dana was first introduced to gallery owner David Leonardis through NYC Director Abel Ferrara. "When I saw Dana's exhibit at the VH1 Gallery in NYC, I was very impressed and immediately offered her a show in Chicago." Leonardis says. Ms. Franks' work spans a decade of musical transition. Dana Frank has used the artistic medium of photography to document the careers of the world's greatest legends. Her client list reads like a "who's who" of music, including; The Rolling Stones, Lenny Kravitz, Matchbox 20, Tyrese, Bobby Short, Kiss, David Bowie, Stone Temple Pilots and Julian Lennon, just to name a few.

While musical talent remains her specialty, Dana has been retained to shoot such Hollywood notables as Kathleen Turner, Johnny Depp and Jay Mohr. Her artistic talents have showcased Andrew Tosh, Wild Orchid and Talkshow on album covers; Her photos are seen on video covers for the likes of Santana; Natalie Imbrulia, Marilyn Manson and Hootie & The Blowfish for magazines such as Rolling Stone, Time, Newsweek, Ocean Drive and Glamour among many others.
Dana is often found shooting backstage or onstage at concerts and major events such as The Superbowl, The Grammy's and The MTV Awards.

Dana has also been called upon to help guide the images of Grammy Winners and Grammy Nominees. She has worked with Multi-Grammy Award winner Rob Thomas, "Best New Artist" Grammy Winner- Christina Aguilera and Grammy Nominees Brian McKnight and Tyrese.

Recently Dana's unique versatility had her shooting former President William Jefferson Clinton and Chaka Kahn in the same month.
