fifteen years of musical transition,
Dana Frank has used
the artistic medium of photography to document the careers of the world's greatest
legends. Her client list reads like a "who's who" of music, including;
The
Rolling Stones, Lenny
Kravitz, Matchbox
20, Tyrese,
Bobby
Short, Kiss,
David
Bowie, Stone
Temple Pilots, Julian
Lennon & Velvet
Revolver just to name a few. While musical talent remains her specialty,
Dana has
been requested to shoot such Hollywood notables as Johnny
Depp, Kathleen
Turner and Jay
Mohr.
Ms. Frank's artistic
talents have showcased Andrew
Tosh, Wild
Orchid (which included Fergie of
the Black Eyed Peas)
and Talkshow
on album covers; Natalie
Imbruglia,
Marilyn
Manson and Hootie
& The Blowfish for magazines such as
Rolling Stone, Time,
Newsweek, Ocean
Drive and Glamour
among many others. She is often found backstage, shooting
onstage at concerts and major events such as The
Superbowl, The Grammy's
and The MTV Awards.
Dana has also been
called upon to help guide the images of Grammy winners and nominees. Recently,
she worked with multi-Grammy award winning Santana
collaborator Rob
Thomas, "Best New Artist" Grammy
winner Christina
Aguilera and Grammy Nominees Brian
McKnight and Tyrese.
Dana's unique versatility had her shooting former President William Jefferson Clinton and Chaka Kahn in the same month.
Resently, she was hired by Lenny Kravitz to shoot his new "BAPTISM" tour.
Her photographs have been exhibited at The VH1 Gallery and can also be viewed on the TIME / LIFE website.
